Description
Lapis lazuli is a deep blue semi-precious stone with golden inclusions of pyrite. As early as ancient Egypt, it was considered a sacred stone and was used to create jewelry, funerary masks and talismans, a symbol of power and protection. Over the centuries, it has been a symbol of wealth and spirituality in many cultures, including Mesopotamian, Greek and Roman. During the Renaissance, lapis lazuli was ground to obtain the blue pigment, known as “ultramarine blue,” used in works of art. Today it continues to be highly valued for its beauty and energetic properties.
Known as the Friendship stone, it facilitates the expression of feelings, makes one extroverted and improves interpersonal relationships. It gives open-mindedness and creativity. Gives support in one’s decisions and promotes kindness.
