Larimar

Description

The Larimar of Santo Domingo, the blue gemstone of the Caribbean, also called “The Stone of Atlantis,” is known as Blue Pectolite in mineralogy. Its high cost puts it on par with gemstones such as rubies and emeralds.

If everyone knew the healing and spiritual properties attributed to this gemstone, I’m sure everyone would wear a Larimar pendant, especially in silver that boosts its energy, but fortunately very few even know of the existence of this wonderful stone.

Its energy gives us the qualities of the sea and air, bringing peace to the heart and integrating it with peace of mind toward positive thinking.

Larimar’s properties make it a gemstone of enormous potential, one of the few crystals to balance all energetic polarities. It cools spirits and fears; calms and relieves stress; and nourishes the physical and emotional body. Stone that can be a source of inspiration and encouragement toward improving one’s personal reality, especially on spiritual and physical planes. It also has the ability to decrease the frequency and intensity of hot flashes when Kundalini energies become uncomfortably active. It prompts one to take charge of one’s life and effectively counteracts the tendency toward victimhood. It helps one become aware of the breadth of one’s spiritual world, making one see how much it possesses no limits except those we ourselves choose to create. This blue gem urges one not to unnecessarily oppose the course of events, but to accept it with balance. It stimulates brain activity. This beautiful stone encapsulates the wonder of the sea of origin and the power of the land that generated it.

On the physical plane it helps remove blockages that prevent energy from flowing harmoniously through the body and also promotes self-healing. Larimar is an amazing addition to any type of energy work session, and is excellent with the throat chakra and heart chakra, as it encourages expressing personal inner truth with absolute clarity.

Larimar is mainly associated with two chakras: the throat chakra, helping to express feelings and thoughts with clarity, and the heart chakra, promoting emotional healing and unconditional love.
